Meet Dr. Patience Atumanya, one of the distinguished speakers at the 11th AAU and ICSU Annual Scientific Conference in Mbale.
She will take on a critical question for Uganda’s health system:
“The Status of Critical Care in Uganda.”
As a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Head of Anaesthesia and Critical Care at the Uganda Cancer Institute, Dr. Atumanya brings experience at the intersection of anaesthesia, critical care and cancer care. She also holds an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Her work focuses on improving perioperative and critical care for cancer patients and generating evidence that can improve outcomes in low-resource settings.
